A more inward, concentrated style from the warmer, southern end of the Santa Lucia Highlands. Ruby/plum hue with assorted red and black cherries, mint, gunpowder, and crushed stone on the nose. Fermented with 100% whole clusters and aged 19 months in 100% new French oak, it has beautiful overall balance, perfectly integrated tannins and acidity, and outstanding length on the palate. It needs just 2–3 years of bottle age and is going to blow you away over the following decade or so. 98 points rated by Jeb Dunnuck
