The Lowenstein 2009 Riesling Schieferterrassen displays a cooling combination of herbal inflections and wet stone both on the nose and on a waxen-textured, yet persistently stimulating palate. The balance of stuffing and buoyancy, textural richness and refreshment is admirable.
